I'd love to be able to pass my tablet around at gatherings to let people browse music and video's on my HTPC and let them select a file to add to a 'now playing' playlist

I'd love to be able to filter the tv shows and videos by watched/unwatched status.

An actual icon for the app would be nice :D (currently it's just the default android application icon)

I wondered if your app could cast to Chromecast, I know Chromecast cant deal with .ts extension files nativly so this may be impossible. If it works though I could then display all my TV recordings on any TV around the house which would be great.

P.S Your App is great on Android nothing runs as smoothly rendering video on low end phone.

 It would be really nice if you could jump in media files.

In recordings it's actually not possible (neither integrated player (android 2.3.4) nor mobo player)

Would be nice if aMPdroid could control the spotify plugin and choose songs/playlists etc. and maybe stream the music from MediaPortal to the android devices. I mean starting music in MP or on the phone. I am referring to Rockstar 2.0.2 developed by SECO.

This would allow us to create profiles for several use cases, e.g. start MP and projector, start MP without projector etc.

Automatically detect all network clients using zeroconf/bonjour service.
