Playing DVD rips on the HTPC doesn't work

DVD rips (vob files with DVD menus) are not controllable using aMPdroid. Playing a DVD rip takes one to the DVD menu but the aMPdroid remote does not transfer control. Instead you can hear the remote still focused on MediaPortal in the background (i.e. clicking up on the remote moves from Music to Movies, for example).

More info: if I use my remote to start a DVD rip, then I can successfully control the playback and menus with aMPdroid. If I start the DVD from within aMPdroid (play on HTPC function), then focus is lost.
