Hi DieBagger!

I know that this feature is in your roadmap, but as I consider it soooo important I believe that it can be here until you add it ;-)

Many thanks for all your work and best regards,

Aitor

Added code for WOL to SVN, will be included in the next version... :)

How would this work exactly? Would it wake up your HTPC from S3 state using the app? I thought the app runs on a server on the HTPC, which won't be active if the HTPC is in S3 state? It would be great if this could work in that manner, though!

Hi Gary!

That's exactly how it works, with the next version of aMPdroid (0.8) you would be able to wake up your HTPC from S3 just with the app. However, I have one question for DieBagger:

When does the app send the WOL packet to the HTPC? With SVN version I can see that the WOL dialog pop-up's when clicking in Media and Music tabs if the PC is not awake, but I don't think that this is the best option. It would be better if the HTPC woke up just when selecting the client, don't you think so? Thanks for all ;)

Well in that case I have the problem that the user might just want to wake up the server or the client... That's why I implemented it this way. I might add another option in settings to "Wake on client selection" or something like that.
Btw. does this also mean, that aMPdroid will automatically connect the remote to the client now? (See also http://ampdroid.userecho.com/topic/43187-automatically-reconnect-remote/ )
Yes, automatic connection to the client is already implemented (automatic reconnect as well).
